Blesle is a small medieval “Beaux Village’ nestling in a narrow valley among the high hills of Haute-Loire.
There is a small Aire de Camping-Car on the left as you enter the village, with space for six motorhomes. The entrance is a bit tight but we managed without any problems in our 7.5 m van. There are no water or dump facilities at the free aire but there is also a local camp site where there are full facilities.
The village, like others we have visited in the region, is a little gem. Narrow streets, small squares, ancient doorways, tall towers and a small river rushing under stone bridges. We wandered around enjoying the peace and quiet and seeing only one other small group of tourists, also taking lots of photos.

After a blessedly quiet night, following the wind, rain and trains of the previous nights, we continued our journey north, well refreshed.
